IN WITH THE NEW. A WELCOME.

The summer season ends with harmony and warmness. A craving for the cold weather creeps into everyday life as the days remain long and hot. Spring/Summer eighteen saw an explosion of vivid textiles in over-sized shapes. The comeback of the eighties was met with an addiction to pastel pink, lilac, yellow and green. Trends came and went, but the high fashion houses were here to stay. Balenciaga; with their over-sized and destroyed aethestic, ‘Knife Pumps’ and t-shirts the price of South-East Asian holidays, Tibi, Zimmerman, Alexander Wang and Christian Dior.

But perhaps first, is an introduction in order. Everyone, meet the blog. A platform to discover, educate and be inspired. A blog to see concepts come to fruition. To see the development of ideas later disseminated to the consumer via our independent clothing brand, Venus Blooms. Come to be inspired, stay to find out what's coming next. In areas of fashion, style and values. Welcome to THE REBIRTH.

But summer has now faded. Leaves will begin to cover the ground and the days will fall short. This is March; the month of seasonal confusion. Where puffer jackets in the morning are met with shorts come lunch. Where the only appropriate comeback is a chunky sandal and socks.

PREPARE TO MEET THE FUTURE, BECAUSE ITS HERE. A/W 20/21 IS TECH-SOCIETY IN FAST FORWARD. CYBER FASHION IS NOW REALITY. LUXURIOUS ACTIVE WEAR, OTHER WORLDLY KNITS, STRUCTURED ANDROGYNOUS SUITS.

Meet your maker. My name is Charlotte, the brain behind THE REBIRTH. I am twenty-two and have no more exciting birthdays yet. Que the collagen supplements. Studying my Master's in Fashion at RMIT but also studying the world around us. I am constantly evolving the way I view creativity and fashion as an art form. But to study and enjoy fashion, is not without it's detriments. With the culture comes materialism, over-consumption, environment degradation and increasing poverty. I am hoping to bring more light to these dark ethical issues and educate consumers about fast fashion.
And on that note, I'd like to lighten the seasonal shift with a homage to Hajime Sorayama. Autumn mood, 2019. Oh, and here's a hot tip. Enjoy the coming months. You'll next awake in a winter haze.
